About the role
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will drive the development and implementation of programs, products, and services in R&D. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing initiatives with complex dependencies, risk management, stakeholder management, and building technical roadmaps.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, implementation and deployment of large-scale critical and complex financial applications, owning all aspects of solutions end-to-end, through full stack software development.
- Partner closely with engineering leads, product managers, designers, and other teams to define program scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Establish clear and consistent communication channels. Provide regular updates on program status, progress, and blockers to all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Proactively identify and manage cross-team dependencies, ensuring seamless integration and coordination.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the program lifecycle. Develop contingency plans and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Continuously evaluate and improve program & portfolio management processes, leveraging Artificial intelligence (AI) to drive continuous improvement, automation initiatives, and efficiencies.
- Build consensus among diverse stakeholders and drive alignment on program goals through clear communication, trust, and shared accountability.
- Adapt messaging (technical depth, business impact, tone) for engineers, PMs, business stakeholders, and executives; lead and facilitate small to medium-sized program meetings with clear agendas, outcomes, and action owners.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, project management, or a similar role within a software development environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies (Kanban), and modern software architectures (e.g., microservices, cloud-native applications).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges, a results-oriented mindset, and a commitment to delivering value to customers.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA,), collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with financial technology or related industries.
- Experience with financial systems and processes.
- Experience with financial regulatory compliance.
