As a Senior Technical Program Manager supporting Schwab’s Site Reliability Engineering organization, you will lead strategic, cross-functional programs that strengthen the reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency of critical production platforms. You will shape program roadmaps and guide automation initiatives involving incident response, operational workflows, observability, deployment, and toil reduction, translating complex reliability objectives into executable plans, measurable outcomes, and sustainable operational improvements. Through Project Management, Strategic Planning, and Risk Management, you will establish priorities, milestones, governance practices, and controls that keep large reliability and availability programs aligned with business, technology, risk, and compliance objectives. You will use Performance Metrics, including service-level objectives and indicators, availability, mean time to detect, mean time to restore, and change failure rates, to evaluate results, identify delivery risks, and support informed Decision Making. You will also coordinate critical production activities such as cutovers, data center failovers, product retirements, and disaster recovery activities, ensuring appropriate cross-team planning, accountability, and support.
