Technical Program Manager

About the Role

Be one of the first 100 employees at Albedo, where you will have a significant impact on proliferating Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) by building buses, integrated satellites, and turnkey missions. Albedo operates between 250 km - 400 km, leveraging proximity for performance and self-cleaning debris. This role involves advancing hardware, scaling production, and developing next-gen flight and ground software to push performance for national security and everyday life on Earth.

Albedo takes a first-principles approach, moving with speed, taking calculated risks, and using AI to create leverage across disciplines. Work is conducted in-person at our Broomfield, CO HQ to maximize productivity.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution of projects and programs across the company, measured against Albedo's company goals and committed delivery dates.
• Build and maintain the integrated schedule spanning engineering, production, and software: GNC, FSW, GSW, Comms, Systems, Electronics, Optical, Mechanical, Thermal, and Production, with a real critical path and explicit margin.
• Work at the build-schedule depth, including AI&T flow, production sequencing, resource loading, test-stand and fixture contention, and long-lead procurement. Engage in details with the teams doing the work.
• Partner with team leads and systems engineering to translate technical plans into realistic durations and hold the line when those durations are optimistic.
• Identify potential slips before they occur, run replans, quantify options, and present decisions to the team.
• Maintain the execution cadence and keep Linear accurate as the system of record, ensuring health, status, and dependencies are trustworthy for leadership.
• Develop the program-management practice, including cadence, reporting, escalation, and schedule standards for scalability as the company grows.
• Represent programs to external customers and partners while maintaining internal delivery ownership as the primary focus.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), Aerospace (Aero), or Mechanical Engineering (ME), or demonstrated equivalent technical fluency.
• 8+ years in program or engineering management for hardware programs, with at least one role owning the detailed build or AI&T schedule.
• Demonstrated task-level schedule ownership, including resource-loaded plans, negotiated durations, and critical path management.
• Multi-disciplinary integration experience: running schedules spanning mechanical, electrical, software, and test, not limited to a single function.
• Exposure to hardware production or integration and test: hands-on or adjacent experience while something was being built.
• CAPM/PMP certification is a plus.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Pay

Salary Range: $167,450 - $180,523
