Job Summary/Overview

The Technical Product Specialist supports Dorner Manufacturing's product, pricing, and CAD configuration tool: DTools. This role assists with setting up new user accounts, addressing user inquiries, resolving product configuration issues, and testing new product additions or updates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as user support in setting up accounts, resolving user feedback issues related to all aspects of DTools (pricing, product application, configuration rules, etc).
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of DTools.
  • Identify and resolve system issues and defects in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate communication between product technical teams and web applications developers to ensure clear understanding and successful implementation of CPQ requirements.
  • Auxiliary in the development and execution of test plans to ensure DTools meets functional and performance requirements.
  • Auxiliary in the implementation of new features and updates to enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Auxiliary in maintaining DTools components, including product catalogs, pricing rules, and quote templates.
  • Conduct analysis of business processes and requirements to ensure effective DTools system design and functionality.
  • Analyze existing DTools processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage DTools related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and new feature implementations.
  • Cook with internal and external teams to ensure project milestones are met.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • CMCO Conveyance product, conveyor application, and product pricing knowledge through experience or hands-on training.
  • Ability to learn a broad product line.
  • Experience with product pricing and price adjustments.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in written materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competence with product configuration software and technologies.
  • Competence with technical documentation software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams like marketing, sales, and logistics.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in CPQ system administration, configuration, or analysis preferred.
  • Experience with CPQ software (Driveworks) preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
