Technical Product Owner

About the role

Product Owner for a Core Services platform focusing on backend systems, APIs, and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Manage product backlog for platforms such as Identity, Rules Manager, and banking APIs.
• Translate technical architecture into detailed user stories.
• Prioritize work based on technical debt, risk, and business value.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee release governance and monitor system health.
• Translate operational data into backlog priorities.
• Provide executive reporting on progress and risks.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs.
• Drive delivery, ensure system scalability and maintainability, and facilitate cross-team alignment for mission-critical financial infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years in product ownership or product management with a backend or platform focus.
• Strong knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Experience managing complex dependencies and working in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated financial environments preferred.
