About the role
The Finance/Actuarial Technical Product Owner (TPO) is responsible for defining priorities and driving the delivery of technology solutions that support the Finance and Actuarial business units. As the Technical Product Owner for the FA1 Team, the TPO serves as the primary liaison between business and technology stakeholders, translating strategic objectives into a prioritized roadmap and actionable backlog. This role combines product ownership, business systems analysis, and stakeholder management to deliver scalable solutions that create business value.

- Technical: Agile Product Ownership
- Business and Technical Solution Analysis: Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions while balancing business priorities, technical constraints, risk, and delivery timelines.
- Technical Acumen: Experience working in technical environments with a solid understanding of modern application architectures, databases, data integration, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise technology solutions. Ability to effectively collaborate with architects, developers, data engineers, and quality assurance teams.
- Azure Knowledge: Working knowledge of Azure services and cloud-based solution architectures, including data platforms, storage, integration services, security concepts, and application hosting components.
- Azure DevOps Proficiency: Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps for backlog management, work item tracking, sprint planning, release coordination, reporting, and Agile team execution.
- Data and Analytics Knowledge: Understanding of data management principles, data modeling concepts, data quality controls, reporting solutions, and analytics platforms to support business decision-making and regulatory requirements.
- Roadmap and Delivery Management: Ability to develop and maintain product roadmaps, prioritize competing demands, and guide delivery teams toward achieving business and strategic objectives.
- Financial and Actuarial Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with finance and actuarial processes, data flows, reporting requirements, and supporting technology platforms to effectively align technology solutions with business needs.
Qualifications
- Preferred bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, information systems, computer engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more (preferred 5+ years) of Product Management experience.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile development methodology and concepts.
- Experience in overseeing the design, development, and / or implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
- Industry experience in Financial Services and / or Insurance Services.
- PREFERRED: Experience using Azure DevOps for work item tracking.
Pay
The Pay Range For This Role Is 120,000 - 135,000 USD per year (Rosemont)
