About the Role
As a Technical Product Manager on our Backend Services team, you will work with Product & Delivery Management Teams to drive the strategic and tactical aspects of Q2’s Backend Services product roadmap. Your role will involve broad cross-product collaboration with a deep technical focus, including uncovering client needs (both internal and external), scoping effort, creating documentation, setting product delivery goals, reducing backlog, and guiding architectural transformation. You’ll act as the glue tying together Q2’s Online Banking platform, collaborating across teams to launch new products, integrations, and evolve existing ones.
This is a demanding, fast-paced position requiring initiative, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills. You’ll need deep product knowledge across Online Banking and oversee best practices for backend services, even outside your direct domain.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive product strategy for account opening and onboarding solutions
- Collaborate with other Product Managers to align products with company strategy
- Manage products across all lifecycle phases
- Handle vendor relationships and align forward roadmaps
- Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are incorporated
- Scope, plan, and execute work across multiple engineering and product teams
- Identify opportunities for new trends, features, or products
- Build product business cases using research, industry expertise, and financial knowledge
- Assess risk of value, feasibility, and usability for product success
- Communicate value and vision effectively to stakeholders
- Engage with clients via Success and Sales teams as needed
- Champion end-user experience and integrate best-in-class front-end design
- Work with Release Management teams for release documentation and internal training
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience)
- Agile experience, including all phases of the product lifecycle
- Previous customer-facing roles
- Experience evolving custom solutions into scalable products
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and data analysis skills
- Self-starter with a proven ability to deliver results
- Fluent written and oral communication in English
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
