Job Summary
Nexaminds is seeking a Technical Product Manager to support a Retail Sales Data Platform. The role involves managing data-driven products, partnering with engineering teams, and delivering near-real-time sales data.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Product Owner supporting software products.
- Experience working with retail, sales, transactional, or other data-intensive applications.
- Experience working closely with software engineering teams in Agile environments.
- Ability to write clear user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize product backlogs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to query data using SQL.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to make informed product decisions by balancing business needs with technical considerations.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting real-time or streaming data platforms.
- Familiarity with Databricks, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar cloud-based data platforms.
- Exposure to Kafka or event-driven architectures.
- Basic understanding of Java- or Python-based applications.
- Experience supporting application modernization or legacy system migrations.

Job Duties
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and engineering capacity.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, architects, and engineering teams to gather, refine, and document product requirements.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and product priorities for Agile development teams.
- Evaluate new business requests and determine the appropriate product or engineering team responsible for implementation.
- Support the migration of capabilities from legacy applications to the new retail sales data platform.
- Use SQL and data analysis to validate requirements, support product decisions, and understand business impacts.
- Monitor product performance, analyze operational metrics, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner with engineering throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure successful delivery of product initiatives.
