HybridMarketing$150k–$175k/yrFull-time

Kasheesh is reimagining digital payments and modern checkout experiences. Our technology allows you to combine multiple debit, credit, or prepaid cards at checkout, anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Kasheesh unlocks access to more of your available funds, helping increase your cash flow, stretch your budget, and avoid hitting card limits—no new lines of credit and no disruption to how or where you shop.

About the Role

In this role, you'll define the API, shape the integration strategy, lead the technical components of the go-to-market strategy, and code when needed. You’ll lead technical discussions with potential partners and work closely with our Engineering Manager, Data Engineer, CPO, and Head of Partnerships on build priorities, data flows, API roadmap alignment, and the technical aspects of sales pitches.

The ideal candidate has built an API partner ecosystem from scratch, understands the challenges, and is prepared to own this function at Kasheesh. You’ll operate within a regulated card program framework, navigating card network rules, KYC/AML obligations, sponsor bank oversight, and data privacy constraints daily.

Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of the sales process by leading technical conversations and developing supporting materials.
  • Design and own the architecture of Kasheesh's partner-facing API, including endpoints, responses, and developer experience.
  • Own the API product roadmap and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure alignment with business and partner needs.
  • Write detailed technical requirements and translate them into actionable specs for the engineering team.
  • Build and own Kasheesh's API integration strategy, including partner onboarding based on type and complexity.
  • Create partner-facing documentation, sandbox environments, and frameworks for successful integration.
  • Develop internal playbooks and infrastructure for a repeatable, scalable partner program.
  • Write code as needed to prototype, validate, or unblock integrations.

Qualifications

  • Experience owning the technical narrative in a business development or sales process.
  • Hands-on experience building or working directly with production APIs.
  • Experience writing technical requirements and owning an API product roadmap.
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language.
  • Direct experience building an API partnership ecosystem or function at a SaaS startup from 0 to 1.
  • Experience building in a regulated fintech environment, understanding card network rules, KYC/AML obligations, sponsor bank oversight, and data privacy constraints.
  • Comfortable setting honest expectations with partners about API capabilities and limitations.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and build structure where none exists.
