About the role
This entry to mid-level Technical Product Analyst position is for individuals with 2 to 7 years of relevant information technology experience. The role involves supporting the development of web, mobile, chat, and voice solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product ownership to translate business needs into technical system requirements.
- Leverage documentation and test applications and APIs to understand existing functionality for enhancement opportunities.
- Investigate enterprise and vendor APIs to determine data availability for system capabilities.
- Map data between interfacing systems.
- Assist lead analysts in developing and prioritizing features and epics.
- Participate in project planning, sprint and release planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinement meetings.
- Perform application and services tests and validations.
- Create system requirement documentation for applications and services, including interface specifications.
- Provide demonstrations to the internal project team and business stakeholders.
- Work with Business, Quality Assurance, and developers on projects and production issues.
- Utilize system documentation, database information, application logs, and scenario testing to determine the root cause of system issues.
Requirements
- Experience capturing technical requirements for information systems and applications.
- Experience working with APIs.
- Familiarity with multi-tier applications (application layer, services layer, data layer).
- Ability to write SQL queries.
- Experience conducting complex technical analysis across multiple products.
- Experience working in an Agile methodology.
- Experience writing system requirements.
Skills
- General understanding or working knowledge of services-oriented architecture and microservices.
- Knowledge of multi-tier applications (presentation tier, services-processing tier, data management tier).
- Familiarity with enterprise and vendor API integration.
- Understanding of managing system behavior through configurable variables.
- Knowledge of error handling.
- Familiarity with XML and JSON data structures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to exercise APIs.
- Experience in the financial industry.
- Experience writing front-end mobile or web application requirements.
- Experience writing back-end service requirements.
- Experience working on requirements for native mobile applications.
