Technical Marketing Specialist

About the role

We’re looking to bring on a freelance technical marketer to lead our web optimization efforts. This role includes one part web analytics, one part technical SEO, and one part AI experimentation. This is a hands-on role focused on experimentation and building systems—not meetings or busywork. You should be comfortable setting up tracking, launching tests, and building workflows.

Responsibilities

• Analyze website analytics and user behavior to provide strategic recommendations
• Launch A/B tests using VWO, Optimizely, or a similar tool
• Possess a partnership with the web developer on crawlability, indexing, and technical fixes
• Collaborate with the performance marketer to optimize campaigns (e.g. UTM parameters, conversion tracking, etc.)
• Own the ongoing setup and optimization of tracking within Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
• Identify and deploy AI across the full marketing and sales stack — from voice agents to lead follow-ups — to improve overall performance
• Work with the content team to build marketing assets — including standalone apps and websites — using vibe coding tools such as Lovable or Replit

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in web analytics and technical marketing
• Working knowledge of how to create webhooks using Zapier
• Hands-on experience with GA4 and GTM
• Comfortable using website crawling tools such as Screaming Frog
• Experience using SEO software (SEMrush) and analyzing data
• Hands-on experience managing end-to-end CRO workstreams to optimize site performance and user journeys
• Understanding of how to separate signal from noise and know what to prioritize for business impact
