Technical Manager, Regulatory Engagement
About the role
The Technical Manager, Regulatory Engagement is responsible for providing senior-level expertise and people leadership within Enbridge's Gas Distribution business. Key responsibilities include monitoring regulatory changes, advising on regulatory updates, participating in industry forums, developing and implementing regulatory strategic initiatives, supporting audits and assessments, and educating employees on compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor regulatory changes and updates, assess their impact, and advise Senior Leadership.
- Participate in industry forums to monitor and provide guidance on regulatory rulemakings, enforcement issues, and concerns.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and advise the organization effectively.
- Develop and implement necessary adjustments to pipeline compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
- Support state and federal audits and assessments as subject matter expert.
- Identify gaps and areas for improvement and prepare responses to regulatory requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements into processes.
- Lead audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Communicate regulatory impacts and drive process improvements.
- Manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
Requirements
- University/College degree in Engineering, Science, Public Policy, Business, or related field.
- Eight to ten years of relevant experience, or a combination of formal education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of DOT, pipeline safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Expertise in risk, compliance frameworks, and regulatory interpretation.
- Experience leading audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Proven leadership, project management, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Pay
Ranges from $135,100 to $170,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity. Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
Schedule
Flexible work schedule with options for remote work on Wednesdays and Fridays, compressed work week schedules, and flexible start and end times.
Physical Requirements
Includes but are not limited to: grasping, kneeling, light to moderate lifting (up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
