About the role

As a Technical Manager, you will provide management review and control over multiple units of engineering work, integrating several specialized areas of engineering to serve a business segment or directing a single specialization serving several business units. This includes development of projects, structures, or processes as part of a major engineering program within our Critical Facilities (CF), BET, FMCX, and ICT practice areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall review and control over multiple engineering projects in the market sector.
  • Improve overall technical execution and develop the technical approach to the Critical Facilities Market Sector.
  • Participate in Expert Teams to coordinate with other technical leaders on the development of general technical standards.
  • Support the Resource Manager in recruiting top technical talent.
  • Build relationships with technical vendors.
  • Develop technical preeminence and conduct team technical training.
  • Ensure technical quality on projects and apply smart technical concepts to major projects.
  • Develop and use the technical QA (Quality Assurance) process proactively.
  • Participate extensively on projects, write technical white papers, and speak at technical conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Current PE (Professional Engineer) registration.
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience.
  • 12+ years of experience working in a consulting firm, with a background in the MEP Engineering industry.
  • 8 years of supervisory experience.
  • Healthcare design experience, with a history of working on projects in Healthcare, Federal, Critical Facilities, Commercial, and Aviation sectors.

Pay

California Pay Range: $131,264–$196,897 USD.

Syska-wide Pay Range: $124,356–$189,237 USD.
