Technical Liaison

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the technical component of the laboratory to ensure reliable reporting of patient results, including reviewing AMR studies and instrument comparisons.
• Work with the Technical Director and Technical Supervisors to ensure accuracy for all testing in the lab, including instrument performance and identifying root causes when issues arise.
• Provide additional technical support to the Technical Director and Technical Supervisors as needed (e.g., validations, verification).
• Accurately respond to client inquiries that are technical in nature and escalate as needed.
• Effectively communicate with clients, physicians, nurses, and LabCorp staff, providing technical expertise as required.
• Project credibility and build rapport with medical doctors and LabCorp clients, delivering quick and accurate responses to inquiries.
• Assist in the review, interpretation, and reporting of complex and routine test results.
• Share experiences and ideas on technical improvements.
• Adhere to laboratory policies and procedures.
• Assist with other special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 5 years or more of clinical laboratory experience in a CLIA, CAP laboratory environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with laboratory procedures.
• Familiarity with LCLS, LCWS, SIS, eAssist, and other Labcorp IT systems.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and EP Evaluator.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the relevant department along with strong knowledge of scientific concepts and effective clinical practices/procedures.
• Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
• Discretion in handling confidential information.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Extremely organized, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt flexibly.
• Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or prior Labcorp experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
