Technical Liaison

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between Howmet Aerospace and Solar Turbines
• Cook up engineering efforts in design and material selection which lead to cost-effective components meeting customer targets for cost and operating performance and Howmet targets of being producible
• Maintain customer knowledge and promote Howmet technical capabilities, contributing to overall growth
• Interact with customer manufacturing to ensure products meet performance, cost and quality criteria
• Aid the Account Manager in evaluating all quoting activity for compliance with customer requirements
• Aid the plants in communication / resolution of first article submittals and deviation requests
• Identify and prioritize important business growth opportunities
• Cultivate positive working customer/plant relationships

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 5 Years’ relevant experience
• Significant travel is required, less so if working out of San Diego facility
• Relocation to San Diego is preferred but not required. Candidate can still work from one of the major Howmet sites (Whitehall, Wichita Falls or Winsted)
• Flexibility to work periodic overtime
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
