This role focuses on Learning and Development for Global R&D Stakeholders, designing, delivering, managing, and continuously improving learning and capability development solutions that support the growth of technical, scientific, and professional capabilities across Research & Development (R&D).

The Technical Learning Solutions Partner serves as a strategic learning partner, working closely with business leaders, external engagement functions, subject matter experts, and employees to identify capability needs, translate and align learning solutions with organizational priorities, and advance technical knowledge, workforce readiness, and organizational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Learning Strategy & Consulting
    • Partner with R&D leaders, technical experts, and business stakeholders to identify capability gaps, learning priorities, and workforce development needs aligned to business objectives.
    • Conduct learning and capability needs assessments to identify opportunities for performance improvement, knowledge transfer, and employee development.
    • Translate business and technical requirements into learning strategies, development pathways, and capability-building solutions.
    • Provide consulting and recommendations on learning approaches, workforce readiness, knowledge management, and organizational learning.
    • Support the development and execution of learning roadmaps that strengthen technical capabilities and advance organizational priorities.
    • Align learning strategy and associated programs with R&D organization cultural goals to achieve innovation aspirations.
  • Program Leadership & Management
    • Lead the planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning and development programs.
    • Manage team learning project and program initiatives from intake through completion, including scope, timeline, resources, communications, risk management, and evaluation.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, facilitators, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Learning Solution Design & Development
    • Ensure learning programs are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
    • Collaborate with instructional designers, content developers, and subject matter experts to create engaging learning solutions using modern design tools and software.
    • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to learning initiatives.
    • Support development of blended learning solutions, including instructor-led, virtual, digital, self-paced, experiential, and social learning formats.
    • Maintain quality standards, branding, accessibility, and learner experience across programs.
  • Capability Development & Knowledge Management
    • Support development and maintenance of technical capability frameworks, learning pathways, and role-based development resources.
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing and organizational learning through communities of practice, mentoring programs, and other capability-building initiatives.
    • Partner with business leaders to strengthen onboarding, career development, and capability advancement efforts.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement
    • Define success measures and evaluate learning outcomes using learner feedback, performance metrics, and business impact data.
    • Develop and maintain program dashboards and reporting to demonstrate value and effectiveness.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve learner experience, and increase program impact.
    • Maintain awareness of new tools, educational trends, and technologies that enhance learning development and deployment.
    • Apply continuous improvement practices to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of learning solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build strong partnerships with leaders, learning colleagues, and business stakeholders across the organization.
    • Present program updates, recommendations, and impact metrics to stakeholders and leadership teams.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on R&D innovation story learning needs and communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, Agricultural Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development, program management, talent development, organizational effectiveness, or related disciplines.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and build relationships across organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Dedication to meeting professional quality expectations that meet the standards of a global business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within an R&D, scientific, technical, manufacturing, or agricultural environment.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience managing learning technology platforms, digital learning solutions, or external vendors.
  • Experience with learning measurement, evaluation, analytics, and reporting.
  • Professional certification in project management, learning and development, instructional design, organizational development, or related fields.
