Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead to design, develop, and implement solutions; act as the single point of contact for the existing application stack and production incident support.
- Maintain and improve the functionality of existing software applications.
- Manage and support SQL database environments across production, testing, and development.
- Analyze complex technical information to determine risk, impact, and mitigation strategies.
- Support transformation from legacy systems to modern platforms, ensuring data integrity and process continuity.
- Create and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and support training efforts.
- Work with cross-functional teams, business leads, and product owners to define, design, and ship new features.
- Provide technical and functional guidance to developers and support teams; mentor team members.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technology advancements; execute configuration changes as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of insurance operations, specifically MGA operations and premium accounting.
- Experience with premium accounting workflows: invoicing, collections, bordereaux processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
- P&C experience (ideally in Specialty Insurance).
- Understanding of insurance data structures and financial reconciliation.
- Technical Skills: SQL: 8+ years of hands-on experience, Data & Automation: Experience with ETL, SSIS packages, and workflow/automation creation, Tools & Platforms: Proficiency in Documaker, Rackley, Infomaker, PowerBuilder, Retool, GoAnywhere, Redgate Tools, and Git, Architecture: Solid understanding of web applications, cloud-managed services, SOA solutions, microservices, containers, API development, and managed databases, Process & Agile: Experience in Agile environments (Scrum and Kanban), Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and ITIL frameworks.
- Core Competencies: Familiarity with various legacy and modern Policy Admin platforms, Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities, Proven ability to work both independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud: Experience with Azure or GCP.
- Industry Software: Knowledge of ConceptOne, AIM, and ImageRight is preferred.
