Position

Technical Lead Developer (Ruby on Rails, Java and Spring Boot)

About the role

Responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of complex software applications using Ruby on Rails, Java, and Spring Boot. Leads a team of developers in delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and deployment of Ruby on Rails, Java, and Spring Boot applications
  • Lead the design and implementation of REST APIs using JSON and serialization/deserialization
  • Manage and optimize database operations using PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Deploy containerized services using Docker and manage them on ECS (Fargate or EC2)
  • Implement and manage queue-based systems and event-driven processing
  • Ensure compliance with AWS best practices and security standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers
  • Guide and mentor junior developers in best coding practices and project management
  • Make informed decisions that impact the overall project scope and timeline

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, Java, and Spring Boot
  • Proficiency with AWS services, especially ECS, SQS, S3, Secrets Manager, and RDS, Docker, and deploying to ECS (Fargate or EC2)
  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Strong understanding of dependency injection, security, and configuration management in Spring
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)
