Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade applications using Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, and MongoDB.
- Design and develop scalable REST APIs and microservices following modern architectural best practices.
- Build and optimize MongoDB schemas, data models, and database performance.
- Develop cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services.
- Design scalable data models, data mapping, and integration solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design sessions, code reviews, and effort estimations.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure application security, reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Mentor engineers, promote coding standards, and champion engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive continuous improvements.
- Contribute to AI-assisted software development initiatives using modern Generative AI technologies and development tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 12-15 years of software development experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in a Technical Lead or Lead Engineer role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, and MongoDB.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and Microservices Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging technologies.
- Familiarity with API Gateway, serverless architectures, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong understanding of Git, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of application security principles and API best practices.
- Experience leveraging Generative AI tools and AI-assisted development to improve engineering productivity.
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Insurance industry.
- Understanding of enterprise business workflows and system integrations.
- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems and high-volume applications.
