Technical Laboratory Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Manage staff and workflows
- Maintain policies and procedures
- Perform staff competency assessments
- Monitor statistics and test utilization
- Fiscal responsibility
- Comply with regulatory standards and maintain accreditation
- Human resource management according to Essentia Health guidelines
- Excellent customer service and team working skills
- Work with other departments and committees to maintain a high level of care
Qualifications
- Graduate of a four-year degree in Medical Laboratory science or equivalent
- Meets Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing for alternative route
- 2 years of previous experience in a hospital or clinic laboratory
Required Qualifications
- Current American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification or equivalent
