Technical Lab Specialist | Point of Care | Full-time | Days

Responsibilities

• Aid the Supervisor in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and problem-solving in the assigned Laboratory area.
• Involvement with instrument validation, correlations, new procedures, and special projects.
• Performance of laboratory procedures, some requiring advanced knowledge and skills.
• Operation of lab instrumentation to provide clinical data for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease.
• Making independent judgment decisions in the reporting of normal and abnormal results.
• Scheduling of new Quality Control (QC) lots and reviewing quality control routinely.
• Assistance with competencies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree
• Specific Course Work: Bachelor's degree in Human Science (such as biology, chemistry, medical technology, and clinical/medical laboratory science)
• Necessary Skills: Practices hospitality training, possesses critical thinking skills, good verbal and written communication skills
• Licenses/Certifications: Florida licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Supervisor
