About the role
The Technical Instructor role within Moog Space and Defense Group is responsible for developing and delivering training strategies to create and sustain a high-performing organization. This role ensures that Moog employees possess the technical knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training strategies to create and sustain a high-performing organization.
- Ensure that Moog employees possess the technical knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
- Provide training in an effective manner, converting technical training needs into relevant training at all levels of the Moog organization using adult learning principles.
- Design and develop course materials and job aids for students and course instructors in accordance with program requirements, contract specifications, and adult learning principles for all levels of the organization.
- Research and assist in the implementation of new training techniques and technologies to ensure high retention rates of learned content.
- Implement and utilize methodologies to assess learning and development requirements, ensuring these needs are met through the creation, development, and deployment of associated training.
- Determine the appropriate delivery vehicle for the content (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, blended learning, etc.).
- Develop, coach, and mentor subject matter experts who deliver special process training as an additional resource to the Training Systems Group.
- Develop and maintain assessment tools to support course content while rigorously assessing participant/trainee knowledge and skills.
- Audit and assess the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements to maintain compliance with Quality Management System requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of manufacturing experience in a technical related capacity or an associate’s degree with 5 years of manufacturing experience in a technical related capacity.
- Previous training, coaching, or mentoring experience.
- Experience with and ability to explain technical processes such as soldering, crimping, safety wire, product inspection etc.
- Understanding of an AS9100 Quality Management System.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office tools.
- Skilled in maintaining professionalism when interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Advanced technical process expertise and a comprehensive understanding of an AS9100 Quality Management System.
- Ability to assess learning and development requirements and implement associated training.
- Knowledge of various training techniques and technologies to ensure high retention rates of learned content.
- Experience in developing and maintaining assessment tools to support course content.
- Experience in auditing and assessing the effectiveness of training programs.

Pay
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annually
