Responsibilities

• Conduct training events for both Sun Country employees and their maintenance vendors.
• Ensure all training activities comply with GMM guidelines.
• Maintain special authorization training such as Engine Run, Engine Run/Taxi, Airworthiness Release, ETOPS, LLM RTS, RI/RII/INSP, and Towing.
• Provide aircraft systems training, both general familiarity and system-specific.
• Review and update training programs to align with FAA and company standards.
• Support the planning, organizing, and development of training initiatives.
• Attend and conduct training events for external maintenance providers.
• Keep accurate training records for participants.
• Mentor new Maintenance Technicians and others needing focused refreshers.
• Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety and health regulations.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in training peers or providing technical oversight in aircraft concepts, systems operation, and maintenance troubleshooting and resolution.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision in stressful situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Availability to work varied hours to support maintenance schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Airframe and Powerplant license.
• B737NG experience.
• B737NG General Familiarization.
• Previous Maintenance Instructor experience.

Pay

$38.23 USD per hour along with shift differentials and license premium if applicable. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

Schedule

This position is represented by the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association. The compensation schedule is based on the collective bargaining agreement.

This job operates in a professional office environment. Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
