Technical Inside Sales Representative – Pennsauken, NJ or Garner, NC

Location: Pennsauken, NJ

Responsibilities

• Contacts current and potential customers by phone to grow prospects and sales.
• Drives product sales by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sales opportunities.
• Actively solicits product opportunities, referring leads as appropriate.
• Fields incoming calls from customers and provides sales orders as needed.
• Provides product, service, or technical information by answering questions and requests.
• Assists in the management of open orders by using reports to track all open jobs, backorders, past due orders, and actively sources solutions to fulfill orders on time.
• Communicates with appropriate persons about jobs that will miss promised due dates and participates in expediting whatever is necessary to meet required promise dates.
• Tracks and follows up on quotes for customers.
• Enters and processes sales orders as needed, including fulfilling backordered parts by assisting purchasing and communicating with production.
• Assists inventory control and purchasing personnel in resource planning for all parts, including providing accurate costing, forecasting, and specification of parts.
• Enhances professional growth and development as technology advances.
• Performs related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years in related job experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing and operations.
• Prior experience working with laser cladding and chrome plating (or other type of electroplating) preferred.
• Ability to effectively plan workload and analyze market conditions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
• Performs work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job duties consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Frequent walking and/or standing is required.
• Frequent bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying of parts.
• Ability to work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System in daily job duties.
