About the role

NCR Voyix Corporation is seeking a Service Desk technician to support small and medium-sized customers. The position involves handling technical phone and email support for NCR products and services, resolving user problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support on industry-specific products, systems, and software products.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to determine root causes.
  • Work with internal and external technical resources to resolve incidents.
  • Manage calls and incidents using Genesys Cloud contact center system and ServiceNow / JIRA ticketing system.
  • Follow standardized policies and procedures for diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to gather information and resolve issues.
  • Acquire replacement parts for customers using the order system.
  • Work flexible hours (11 am - 8 pm EST), including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in IT or equivalent experience.
  • Public Trust Clearance to be eligible.
  • Minimum of 2 years Help Desk or related IT experience.
  • Understanding of Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft 365, LAN/WAN terminology, IP protocols, ports, VPN connections, Active Directory, Knowledge Base Systems, ticket systems, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • A strong desire for quality and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to multi-task and work flexible schedules.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in the use of the English language.
  • Basic understanding of disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area and related disciplines.
  • Experience with QuickBase and Confluence, ServiceNow, Remedy, or JIRA.
  • Knowledge of retail peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and scales.

Preferred Qualifications

  • POS deployment certifications.
  • Computer Information Systems, Network+, Security+ certifications.

Pay

$65,100.00 - $97,700.00

Schedule

Full-time, flexible hours (11 am - 8 pm EST, including evenings and weekends).
