About the role
We're looking for a Technical Implementation Lead to own the deployment of Basata's AI products into specialty medical practices. You'll be the bridge between our engineering team and our customers, spending time on-site with practice staff to deeply understand their administrative workflows and design how Basata's AI fits into and improves each one.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementations: Own each customer deployment from kickoff through go-live and beyond.
- Map and re-engineer workflows: Spend time on-site with practice staff to deeply understand their administrative workflows and design how Basata's AI fits into and improves each one.
- Drive EHR and systems integration: Configure and troubleshoot integrations with EHR platforms, practice management systems, fax servers, and other clinical infrastructure.
- Work with HL7/FHIR standards and APIs to ensure reliable data flow.
- Champion change management: Build trust, address resistance, design training programs, and ensure adoption sticks not just at launch, but over time.
- Gather and translate requirements: Act as the technical voice of the customer. Capture detailed workflow requirements, edge cases, and feedback, then translate them into clear specs and priorities for our engineering and product teams.
- Build scalable implementation processes: Document playbooks, templates, and best practices as you go.
- Maintain and optimize post-deployment: Track system performance, automation accuracy, and staff satisfaction after go-live. Identify issues early, iterate on configurations, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with engineering, product, customer success, and sales to ensure smooth handoffs, close feedback loops, and inform the roadmap with field intelligence.

- Deep understanding of healthcare practice operations—front desk, referral coordinators, call centers, billing.
- Specialty practice experience (cardiology, Urology, GI, Ortho, Vision, ENT) is a strong plus.
- Comfortable with SQL, APIs, scripting (Python or similar), data mapping, and troubleshooting integrations in the field.
- Exceptional communicator who can translate messy clinical workflows into structured engineering requirements and explain technical concepts to practice managers with equal clarity.
- Willingness to travel on-site to customer locations (estimated 25-50%).

- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
