Client: Healthcare client – IT Warehouse site
Location: Apopka, Florida (Onsite)
Employment Type: 12-month initial contract with high potential of extension and/or conversion (W2)

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Equipment Specialist to support our healthcare client’s IT warehouse operations. This role involves managing IT hardware inventory, decommissioning network equipment, and allocating internal IT equipment orders across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Install and support production environment for assigned applications, including installation and relocation of devices.
  • Communicate with users regarding project status, schedules, issues, risks, training, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Work with networking and server staff to ensure proper end-user connectivity to the network, servers, and applications/systems.
  • Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on devices as requested by users.
  • Assist with budget allocation, purchasing, and inventory support for projects.
  • Track time estimates and actual time spent on tasks.
  • Create, update, follow, and maintain documentation (e.g., application outlines, vendor contact information, process/procedural documentation, meeting minutes, issue resolution).
  • Assist with site walk-throughs, audits, and project meetings to ensure compliance and accurate project scope.
  • Design and execute test plans, test scenarios, and resolve issues revealed during testing before implementation.
  • Lead and/or participate in special projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve teamwork, knowledge, and customer service.
  • Follow standards for devices, software, and access as directed by Senior Leadership; report non-standard activities.
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects within scheduled deadlines.
  • Take direction from Project Lead and/or Manager.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of inventory experience.
  • Ability to differentiate IT hardware (e.g., routers, switches, Cat5 cables).
  • Experience decommissioning routers and switches.
  • Expertise in Excel.
  • Solid understanding of networking equipment and terminology.
  • Assertive personality and analytical thinking.
  • Experience in IT buying/purchasing is a plus.

Skills

  • Basic networking knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype, Office 365).
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Pay

$22/hour

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EST
