Technical Engineer Specialist - Community and Land Development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required); PE license required
- 12+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on municipal engineering and public sector projects
- Strong understanding of local and regional regulatory requirements
- High level of technical proficiency & strong background in development of design drawings and technical specifications for civil engineering projects, as well as experience in civil engineering construction phase service
- Proven experience conducting technical QA/QC reviews
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized and systematic in approach
- Able to mentor others and communicate complex technical information clearly
- Proficiency in civil engineering design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, HydroCAD, etc.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC standards and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all project deliverables
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of design plans, specifications, reports, and calculations to confirm alignment with company standards, client expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff, supporting knowledge sharing and professional development across the team
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams during key project phases to proactively identify and resolve technical issues by providing technical expertise
- Participate in the development and delivery of internal technical training programs to promote best practices and elevate overall technical performance
- Identify recurring quality concerns or inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement efforts in tools, workflows, and design practices

T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $130,000 - $160,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
