Technical Engineer - Clinical Practice Support
This position requires U.S. citizenship due to contractual and access requirements. Hybrid schedule: three days in the Pittsburgh office (Tuesday–Thursday).
About the role
The Intermediate Technical Engineer serves as the primary onsite technical resource partner supporting Community Connect physician practices and partner organizations during implementations, upgrades, go-live events, and ongoing operations. This role delivers hands-on technical support while building strong relationships with local IT resources, physicians, clinical staff, office managers, and operational leaders. The engineer supports Epic and related clinical applications, assists with workstation and device deployments, troubleshoots connectivity and access issues, and coordinates with infrastructure, desktop, application, and security teams to ensure successful implementations.
Because many Community Connect practices have limited in-house technical expertise, this individual must effectively translate technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance and serve as a trusted technology advisor. Success requires a combination of strong technical skills, exceptional customer service, proactive problem solving, and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations in fast-paced healthcare environments.
