Technical Draftsman

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Draftsman to support engineering and technical teams by preparing, revising, and maintaining accurate technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and supporting documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and maintain technical drawings, layouts, diagrams, and supporting design documentation.
• Convert engineer, technician, and program inputs into clear draft products and controlled documentation.
• Review sketches, specifications, markups, and reference material to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
• Support configuration control and revision tracking for technical documents.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to incorporate design changes and operational feedback.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable drafting standards, customer requirements, and internal quality procedures.
• Assist with development of presentation-quality technical visuals for reviews, demonstrations, and customer deliverables.
• Maintain organized digital files, drawing archives, and documentation repositories.
• Support technical planning efforts by documenting layouts, scenarios, or equipment configurations as needed.
• Participate in design reviews and provide drafting updates based on review comments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in drafting, design technology, engineering support, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience preparing technical drawings and documentation in a professional environment.
• Proficiency with computer-aided drafting and design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MicroStation, DraftSight, or similar platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple revisions and deadlines.
• Ability to interpret engineering notes, technical requirements, and operational concepts.
• Working knowledge of document control and configuration management practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional technical team environment.

Pay

The salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00/Yr. - USD $120,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
