About the role
The Technical Director oversees the planning, engineering, and execution of all scenic and technical elements for school productions and events.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with directors, designers, faculty, and production staff to translate artistic vision into practical solutions within budget and facility constraints.
- Manage the design and construction of sets, props, and other technical elements for productions and events.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and facility guidelines during all technical rehearsals and performances.
- Work closely with the Director of Productions to coordinate logistics and timelines for productions and events.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience in set design, construction, and technical theater.
- Knowledge of industry-standard tools and software for set design and construction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
