Technical Designer – Men’s & Boy’s Sportswear

A well-established Men’s & Boy’s Sportswear Company is looking for a motivated, organized and experienced Technical Designer who can work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities: Work closely with design and sourcing to create specs for development samples and costing for styles ranging from Men’s to 2T-7 and 8-20.Maintain and Update Block Spec libraryCreate graded specs for orders and work with Assistant Designer to complete Tech PacksConduct fittings and evaluate garments from proto to pre-productionCommunicate effectively with overseas makers through email, photo references, and video conference callsCollaborate with Production Managers to ensure timely delivery of corrections to fit and pattern Requirements: Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in Men’s & Boy’s Sportswear 2T through 20Must have experience in all categories of tops, bottoms, knits & wovens for boys & men’sMust be able to use MS office & Excel for spec sheetsMust be proficient in using a Mac DesktopExtensive knowledge in construction and sewingStrong knowledge and experience with children’s safety protocolShould be familiar with all categories of tops, bottoms, knits & wovens for girls & ladiesMust be capable of working with a teamMust be able to multitask and balance multiple deadlinesClear and excellent communication skills with overseas makers Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 DOE Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
