Technical Designer-Catia

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 6 Months with possible extension
Location: Everett, WA – Onsite (W-2 basis only)

About the role

As a Technical Designer-Catia, you will design and develop next-generation RF and digital satellite communication systems. You will assist in developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort
• Develop, maintain, and modify interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods
• Provide product definition to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
• Support validation of compliance to regulatory requirements
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles

Requirements

• Experience with CATIA design in the Aerospace/Aviation field
• Support within a production/manufacturing system for the Aerospace/Aviation industry
• 3+ years of experience with part/product design or integration
• Model-based design and/or systems engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Visual Basic, Python, or Java
• Associate’s degree
• Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria, and release
• Relational design experience

Pay

$45/hr to $50/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, and other factors.
