Technical Designer

Individual contributor position for a global workforce management provider, supporting a client that is the world's largest intimates specialty retailer. This role focuses on executing the technical design process from development to final fit for modern, fashion-inspired collections including casual sleepwear.

About the role

• Analyze and evaluate garments to develop correct fit specifications.
• Ensure products are developed consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications.
• Develop technical specifications and communicate fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.
• Make appropriate adjustments with factories to ensure integrity of design-approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.
• Typically reports to a Technical Services Manager and may direct Assistant or Associate Technical Designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in technical design.
• Plus size experience.
