Responsibilities
- Works with team to develop and execute design concepts for interior and exterior repositioning and/ or adaptive reuse projects
- Works with team to develop design ideas and create both presentation and construction drawings
- For smaller projects may oversee all design and documentation, with support from senior leadership
- Captures consultant drawings and develops architectural details to ensure alignment with design solution
- Reviews engineering and landscape drawings to ensure they comply with design solution
- Develops and delivers overall design and furniture packages
- Conducts field surveys
- Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs Senior Designer, PM and/or client of any potential variances to the budget
- Mentors the work of Junior and Intermediate Designers
- Oversees tasks and provides feedback on work product
- Conducts client interviews to determine space needs and requirements
Qualifications
- Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted
- 6+ years’ experience in workplace design, focusing on corporate interiors and building repositioning and adaptive re-use projects as well as corporate interiors
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of design principles, and workplace trends
- Advanced presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of space planning
- Extensive knowledge of furnishings and finishes
- Advanced sketching and rendering skills
- Advanced architecture detailing skills
- Extensive experience leading the development of project contract documents
- Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements
- Working knowledge of path of travel requirements
- Working knowledge of contract administration
- Intermediate MS Office Suite and Miro skills
- Advanced Revit skills
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills
