About the role

Crate and Barrel Designers help customers visualize home design trends and build long-term relationships by guiding them through furnishing projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and provide enriched customer interactions
• Create elevated designs for customers using preferred design tools
• Conduct customer outreach and develop design packages to brand standards
• Ensure timely follow-up and deliver projects within determined timelines
• Understand and communicate brand aesthetics and product information
• Engage customers on the sales floor with selling skills
• Network and build lasting relationships with customers

Requirements

• Clear understanding of brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy
• Full understanding of product information and industry trends
• Effective communication skills to translate brand vision and customer needs
• Strong affinity for technology (2D and 3D tools, Google suite, video conferencing)
• Proficient in floor planning and able to stay updated on design trends
• Ability to build long-lasting relationships with customers

Qualifications

• Experience in Furniture Sales/Home Decor Design or retail/customer service
• Experience working one-on-one with clients and recommending solutions
• Proficiency in Google platforms and virtual communication
• Experience with design tools

Skills

• Basic design functions including spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, interior design styles
• Excellent, effective, and timely communication skills
• Ability to stay up to date on current design trends
