Technical Customer Success Specialist

About the role

Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Customer Success Specialist to support a leading organization in the networking and technology space. This is a hybrid opportunity located in the RTP (Research Triangle Park), NC area, offering an initial 3‑month contract with strong potential for extension. The Technical Customer Success Specialist will work directly with customers throughout onboarding, implementation, and platform adoption efforts, serving as a trusted technical partner to ensure a smooth and successful deployment experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customer IT and infrastructure teams to lead onboarding, implementation, and activation efforts.
• Assist with deploying and configuring virtual machine‑based collectors, integrations, and telemetry solutions within customer environments.
• Provide guidance around networking and connectivity requirements, including IP addressing, DNS, firewall policies, credentials, and system access.
• Support API integrations, cloud‑based implementations, platform migrations, and customer adoption initiatives.
• Troubleshoot technical onboarding issues, coordinate resolutions, and collaborate with internal engineering and support teams when escalations are needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer success, technical support, implementation, onboarding, networking, or a related technical role.
• Foundational networking knowledge including TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, firewalls, SSH, SNMP, and virtualized environments.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including vulnerability management, CVEs, software hardening, and end‑of‑life/end‑of‑support considerations.
• Strong communication skills with experience explaining technical concepts to customers, conducting demos, training users, or leading implementation meetings.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or comparable technical experience.
