About the role

Provide technical support and drawings to support the Service Leader team, as well as AMS and Parts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supply drawings, technical information, and documentation as needed for the Service team.
  • Use and understand the AE drawing network system to provide assembly, sub-assembly, and component drawings when required.
  • Create all estimates for service projects.
  • Pull drawings and identify parts needed.
  • Send RFQs to Parts department and manage quote responses.
  • Prepare professional and well-written estimates.
  • Estimate Tracking & Management – Ensure all estimate requests coming from reports, PM’s, CRM cases, etc. are addressed and tracked properly.
  • Follow up with Service Leaders as needed to get approvals in a timely manner.
  • Update service schedule on behalf of AMS team.
  • Monitor upcoming AMS jobs and clarify any information needed at least a week in advance for upcoming jobs.
  • Manage press manuals and documentation.
  • Support AMS department as needed to generate proposals.
  • Know and abide by the AAC Corporate, Associate, and Customer Vision and the AAC Quality Policy, conducting daily work to support their achievement.
  • Perform daily work in compliance with AAC’s objective to continuously improve the QMS, including:
    • Understanding the definition of “good quality” as it pertains to their work.
    • Notifying supervisor of poor incoming quality issues from upstream suppliers (materials, information, or processes).
    • Notifying supervisor of poor intra-departmental quality issues (material, information, or processes).
    • Working constructively to satisfy downstream customers and upstream suppliers to solve problems.
  • Understand and work to support achievement of corporate and departmental objectives.
  • Work with supervisor to establish and meet individual training and development goals.
  • Know and abide by all company policies.
  • Act in a professional and ethical manner.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, especially stamping/metalforming.
  • General knowledge of stamping press function and design.
  • General knowledge of metric drawings, clearances and tolerances, assembly drawings, material specifications, and deviations.
  • General knowledge of mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, rigging, electrical controls, and wiring.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Engineering or a related field, or relevant experience.
