About the role

Join a dynamic team at Esri where innovation meets impact. We are seeking a talented individual to join our GIS development team. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that utilize GIS technology to solve complex problems and drive meaningful change.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain GIS applications using Python, JavaScript, and related technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement GIS solutions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of GIS tools and workflows
• Support project management and ensure timely delivery of GIS projects
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of professional experience in GIS development or related field
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and related GIS software
• Experience with web-based GIS platforms such as ArcGIS Online or QGIS
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Understanding of geospatial data models and geospatial databases
• Experience with server-side scripting languages (e.g., Node.js, PHP)
