Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Compliance Certification Engineer to support a leading technology company focused on networking, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions. This role is a long-term contract opportunity and allows you to work remotely in EST hours.
About the role
Drive product certification initiatives, ensure compliance with global regulatory standards, and partner with engineering teams and testing labs to bring innovative technologies to market.
Responsibilities
- Lead product certification and compliance projects for hardware, software, and cloud-based technologies.
- Coordinate testing activities with third-party laboratories and regulatory bodies.
- Review testing results and partner with engineering teams to resolve compliance gaps.
- Author and maintain compliance documentation, certification reports, and declarations of conformity.
- Provide guidance on CE Marking, EU Directives, Common Criteria (CC), FIPS, CRA, and related compliance frameworks.
- Stay current on emerging regulations impacting networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and AI technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in product compliance, certification engineering, or regulatory affairs.
- Strong project management background with experience leading certification efforts.
- Expertise with CE Marking and EU Directives including EMC, LVD, RED, and RoHS.
- Experience with Common Criteria (CC), FIPS, CRA, or cloud compliance programs.
- Experience working directly with external testing labs and certification bodies.
Pay
$90,000 - $110,000
