Technical Certification Engineer (Compliance)

Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Certification Engineer (Compliance) to join a leading technology organization focused on cybersecurity, regulatory readiness, and product governance for a fully remote long-term contract opportunity.

About the role

The Technical Certification Engineer (Compliance) will support compliance initiatives tied to international regulations and certification frameworks, helping product teams prepare for audits, assessments, and ongoing regulatory obligations across global markets.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product and engineering teams to collect, review, and organize compliance evidence for regulatory and certification requirements.
• Interpret technical standards, cybersecurity regulations, and policy requirements to ensure readiness for internal and external assessments.
• Support certification efforts related to security and government frameworks, including documentation reviews and gap assessments.
• Coordinate with auditors, testing laboratories, and compliance stakeholders throughout evaluation and validation activities.
• Leverage emerging AI tools and automation capabilities to improve evidence management, compliance tracking, and regulatory analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting compliance, governance, risk, certification, or regulatory programs within a technology environment.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, certification processes, or product compliance standards.
• Ability to analyze technical documentation and translate regulatory requirements into actionable tasks.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, legal, and compliance teams.

Pay

Salary Range: $90,000–$115,000/year (USD)
