Technical Collections Engineer
About the role
Nightwing seeks a Technical Collections Engineer/Analyst to support the missions and operations team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in telecommunications technology, Wi-Fi network operations analysis, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, and RF collection. They must also have experience as a systems administrator to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
Responsibilities
- Protocol analysis and signals analysis
- Network troubleshooting and traffic characterization
- Network security and analysis
- Support systems administration and signals collection
Requirements
- CLEARANCE LEVEL: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Required
- Skills: Protocol analysis, signals analysis, network troubleshooting, network traffic characterization, network security and analysis
- Technical competency in one of the following: Signals collection/analysis/protocol, Network Engineering/Security
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills
Desired Skills
- Broad knowledge of hardware maintenance and care
- System administration knowledge
- Knowledge of automation technologies and scripting
- Demonstrated experience providing system maintenance and health monitoring
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Virtual Machines
- Prior experience as a military Signal Collections Analyst or SIGINT Analyst
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a small team
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree desired with 1-2 years relevant experience
- Direct relevant military experience can be applied in lieu of a degree
