Technical CLM Project Manager
Contract Duration: 06 months | Employment Type: Contract | Location: Culver City, California 90232
About the Role
The Commercial Marketing team's CLM (Customer Lifecycle Marketing) org is seeking a Technical CLM Project Manager. This person will own end-to-end execution of CLM's weekly cross-functional campaign send process, drive technical documentation and training for new CLM capabilities as they roll out, and manage the team's core project management operating rhythm. Given the technical, time-sensitive nature of the weekly send cycle—which spans data orchestration, QA, and live issue escalation across engineering, data science, and database marketing—this role requires a seasoned, technically fluent project manager who can ramp up quickly and operate independently with minimal oversight.
Schedule
- 40 hours/week; Hybrid, Tuesday-Thursday
- Every Tuesday requires availability from 6:00 AM-10:00 PM for live campaign monitoring and on-call issue resolution
Pay
$90-$105/hr. on W2
Responsibilities
- Own the weekly CLM campaign operations (60% of role):
- Drive the end-to-end process: from audience transfer, to journey prep, through campaign send
- Partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, Database Marketing, and Product Management to keep every stage on track
- Lead the weekly cross-functional go/no-go: Convene partner teams ahead of each week’s send, confirm all teams are green
- Triage and escalate live issues: When bugs or breakages occur during the send cycle, perform initial diagnosis, identify likely root cause area, and route to the appropriate technical team to drive resolution
- Build technical documentation and training (30% of role):
- Create documentation and enablement materials for new CLM capabilities as they roll out (approximately quarterly)
- Deliver a mix of written docs, live sessions, and recorded walkthroughs to cross-functional partners (Operations, Marketing, and Engineering)
- Manage the CLM Team's Project Management rhythm (10% of role):
- Own timelines that surface risks and dependencies
- Maintain the communications calendar
- Manage meetings: coordinating invites, aligning agendas with attendees in advance, and sending out notes
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in technical project or program management, ideally within marketing technology, CRM/campaign operations, or a similarly complex, cross-functional technical environment
- Deep familiarity with the product management release cycle: pulling together use cases and requirements, coordinating QA testing, and driving through to customer go-live
- Demonstrated ability to triage technical issues in real time, perform initial root-cause analysis, and escalate effectively to the right engineering/data teams
- Familiarity with CRM/campaign management platforms
- Availability to work every Tuesday from 6:00 AM-10:00 PM to support live campaign monitoring and on-call issue resolution
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong meeting and stakeholder management skills: able to align agendas, manage calendar invites, summarize meeting notes, and provide status updates
- Experience creating training for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with project management or workflow automation tools such as Wrike, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira/Confluence, Airtable, Monday.com, or MS Project, with an interest in using them to automate and streamline processes
- Project management certification such as PMP, CSM/CSPO, Six Sigma, or ITIL
