About the role
The Technical Change Process Engineer plays a crucial role in advancing the national security mission through cutting-edge technology. They are responsible for improving and optimizing manufacturing processes, analyzing production data, troubleshooting issues, utilizing simulation software, documenting processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize new and existing manufacturing processes to increase productivity and product quality.
- Analyze production data, track metrics, and identify areas for improvement to implement process upgrades and enhancements.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during production by troubleshooting problems, implementing corrective actions, and performing root cause analysis.
- Utilize process simulation software to test and predict the outcomes of proposed changes, helping to find the most appropriate production strategies.
- Prepare detailed process documentation, operating instructions, and reports to document process status and changes.
- Ensure that processes comply with all relevant regulations, including environmental, safety, and quality standards.
- Work with other engineers, R&D teams, production teams, and quality control personnel to facilitate process improvements and technology integration.
Requirements
- Journeyman: Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience; TS/SCI clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly.
- Senior: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience; TS/SCI clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly.
Qualifications
- A strong understanding of the industry's specific processes and systems is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation of new processes.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software, including process simulation and CAD tools.
