Job Summary

As the largest online distributor of restaurant supplies and equipment, WebstaurantStore offers a catalog of over 430,000 products supported by fast, reliable shipping. Our technological design, development, and system management are handled in-house, allowing us to build custom, innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape. Due to our continued growth, we have two Business Analyst openings within our Development Department.

Responsibilities

  • Performing analysis and gathering requirements for project initiatives.
  • Creating user stories and assisting in the facilitation of user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Assisting stakeholders and product owners with analyzing and validating business needs and establishing development priorities.
  • Acting as a liaison between the development department and the business customers.
  • Working closely with software engineers and quality assurance to enhance software solutions and ensure adherence to acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitating meetings and assuming all Scrum Master duties.
  • Cooking development work across various development teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Remote Work Qualifications

  • Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection.
  • Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
  • A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free.
  • The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
  • A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.).
  • The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
  • Legal residents of one of the following states: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, or WY.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in a Software Business Analysis role in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Understanding of the SDLC process.
  • Strong self-management skills and ability to adjust as needed to meet shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ambition and passion about technology and e-commerce.
  • Desire to learn a variety of all business activities.

Education

This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.

Desired Traits & Skills

  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or TFS is a plus.
  • Experience or knowledge of warehouse systems is a plus.
  • Experience or knowledge of QA Automation is a plus.
