Technical Business Analyst
About the role
The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for the overall coordination and follow-up of requirements gathering for data management-related projects. This role supports Agile projects by writing business requirements as needed and assisting with technical design and data lineage documents. The Technical Business Analyst will also track project and task progress, including meeting and scrum follow-ups, JIRA task status, and planned release coordination.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between business users and the technical team.
- Schedule business requirements sessions.
- Document meeting minutes and track follow-ups.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews.
- Facilitate meetings for requirements elicitation.
- Write business requirement documents.
- Aid in technical design documents.
- Aid in data lineage documents.
- Ensure technical design addresses business requirements.
- Interpret business requirements into technical requirements.
- Effectively track progress across projects.
- Track follow-ups from meetings and scrums.
- Assess the status of related JIRA tasks.
- Aid in creating, tracking, and following up on JIRA tickets.
- Cook up planned releases.
- Send out release announcements.
Qualifications
- 4+ years working as a Technical Business Analyst.
- 4+ years working on Agile projects.
- 2–4+ years of SQL experience.
- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server.
- MongoDB experience is a plus.
- 4+ years of data analysis and troubleshooting experience.
- 4+ years writing business requirement documents, technical design documents, and data lineage documents.
