Technical Architect - ML - GenAI

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Technical Architect - ML - GenAI to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape the architecture for advanced generative AI and machine learning solutions built on AWS, with a strong emphasis on scalable, production-ready systems. The position will partner closely with engineering and business stakeholders to design agentic workflows, retrieval-based experiences, and enterprise integrations that support real-world use cases. You will also provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on in development, helping drive both solution quality and delivery. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement generative AI solutions leveraging AWS services and production AI tooling.
• Define architecture for LLM-based applications, including retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.
• Develop and orchestrate complex agentic AI workflows for automated reasoning and task execution.
• Manage the development of RAG pipelines, focusing on embeddings and retrieval mechanisms.
• Integrate LLM capabilities into enterprise applications through APIs and backend services.
• Optimize prompt engineering strategies for performance and relevance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive solution delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on technical experience implementing and developing cloud ML solutions on AWS.
• Expertise in AWS services, specifically SageMaker and Bedrock, for various data types and applications.
• Experience designing agentic AI architectures with frameworks like LangChain and similar agent frameworks.
• Proficient in using production AI application tooling, including memory management and observability.
• Skilled in architecting scalable AI solutions utilizing AWS services like Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway.
• Knowledgeable in LLM APIs and orchestration strategies with multi-model integration.
• Hands-on experience with vector databases and their integration into RAG architectures.

Pay

Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually
