Summary
This position is posted at three levels based on experience: Associate Technical Analyst, Technical Analyst, Senior Technical Analyst. Candidates will be aligned to the appropriate level based on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
The Corporate Applications team is seeking candidates for various roles within the IS department. The positions are entry to advanced levels, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Works with key clients to understand project requirements and communicate implementation methodology.
- Consults with senior team members to ensure that system functionality meets clinical and business requirements of Integration and UPHS organization.
- Fulfills duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
- Performs on-call and production support as necessary.
- Attends planning and status meetings with key client personnel to understand project requirements and communicate our implementation methodology to the client.
- Ensures system integrity of the application is the primary responsibility of the administrator.
- Provides technical expertise to ensure that the design, implementation, and end results meet the business requirements.
- Identifies problem definitions and makes recommendations regarding refinements and decisions throughout the product life cycle.
- Participates in disaster recovery planning, testing, and be available off hours for production support.
- Assists in the education and training of new hires and other team members and be available as a resource for the team.
Requirements
- Associate Technical Analyst: H.S Diploma and 1+ years of experience in Information Technology setting (Required)
- Technical Analyst: H.S Diploma and 5+ years IT experience (Required) or Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years IT experience (Required) (Preferred)
- Senior Technical Analyst: H.S Diploma and 7+ years IT experience (Required) or Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years IT experience (Required) (Preferred) 0-1 years healthcare IT experience (Preferred)
Qualifications
- Associate Technical Analyst: Bachelor's Degree and Healthcare IT experience (Preferred)
- Technical Analyst: Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years IT experience (Required) (Preferred) 0-1 years healthcare IT experience (Preferred)
- Senior Technical Analyst: Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years IT experience (Required) 5+ Healthcare IT experience (Required) (Preferred) 0-1 years healthcare IT experience (Preferred)
Skills
- Strong analytical, programming, and communication skills
- Experience with industry standard processes to generate specifications for implementation and for specification review process
- Experience with creating and implementing project plans and routinely communicating status of work
- Experience with disaster recovery planning, testing, and being available off hours for production support
