About the role
Ignite Digital is seeking an experienced Technical Analyst III to join our team supporting a high-visibility U.S. Navy Software Maintenance Program in the Norfolk, VA region. This role is ideal for a seasoned analyst with a strong technical foundation, proven problem-solving ability, and a passion for supporting mission-critical Navy systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and manage technical specifications for Navy software maintenance and modernization efforts.
- Perform process analysis and design, identifying improvements and optimizing system workflows.
- Lead technical problem-solving activities and provide analytical recommendations to Navy stakeholders.
- Support system evaluation, interface requirements, and human-system interactions across complex Navy environments.
- Collaborate with program managers, engineers, logistics personnel, and cross-functional teams to ensure clear technical documentation and accurate requirements translation.
- Conduct research, assessments, and documentation supporting system sustainment and modernization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Physical Sciences
- Computer Science
- Mathematics
- Psychology (Psychology degrees accepted only if coursework included Human Systems Interface (HSI) and Human Factors Engineering (HFE).)
- Must have a DoD SECRET security clearance
- A minimum of six (6) years of professional experience involving:
- Technical specifications development
- Process analysis and design
- Technical problem solving
- Analytical/logical thinking
Qualifications
- Experience within DoD C4ISR, maintenance, logistics, or business systems. Other relevant industry experience supporting complex technical solutions may be acceptable pending COR approval.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience supporting Navy or other DoD programs
- Familiarity with disciplined engineering or logistics environments
- Ability to operate independently and collaborate in dynamic, multi-stakeholder settings

Pay
$80k+ to align with experience and education
