Technical Accounting Manager
About the role
Join our Accounting & Finance team and help shape the future of global commerce. This role involves performing technical accounting research, preparing financial reports, and participating in audits and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical accounting research (e.g., revenue recognition, business combinations, lease accounting, stock compensation, software, etc.)
- Documents accounting conclusions in accounting memos as necessary
- Assists in the preparation of all internal and external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Coordinates with external auditors and prepares required documentation
- Develops and implements internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements
- Keeps up to date with new accounting and reporting standards and estimates the impact of new standards on the Company’s financial statements
- Consults with business management on accounting matters
- Participates in the monthly and quarterly close processes
- Assists in the valuation of business combinations and accounting for business combinations
- Participates in special projects to address financial accounting, reporting, and operational issues
- Conducts annual goodwill impairment assessments
- Communicates effectively with all financial and operational staff
- Liaises with the Company’s tax and finance department and external consultants
- Performs ad hoc analysis as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5+ years of experience with technical accounting and financial reporting
- CPA preferred
- Thorough understanding of GAAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP general ledger systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
Qualifications

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Knowledge of financial regulations and standards
